Is this employment or subcontract work?
Subcontract. Crews are engaged under a subcontractor agreement, priced by the lot and by scope.
How and when are we paid?
By e-transfer on the agreed schedule, or by cheque where a crew prefers it.
Do I need my own WSIB and insurance?
Yes. WSIB clearance and liability insurance are required before a crew starts on site.
What if I only do one part of the work?
That is normal. Plenty of the crews we work with take a single specialty and nothing else.
Is there work through the winter?
Interior finishing runs year-round, and rectification and warranty work is steady through the quieter months.
