What we collect
Only what you enter into a form on this site or into the on-page assistant: your name, company, email address, telephone number and the project details you choose to include. We do not request payment details, identification numbers or any sensitive personal information through this website.
Why we collect it
To respond to your inquiry, prepare a quotation and correspond with you about that work. We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not share it with anyone other than the service providers described below.
How it reaches us
Form submissions are processed by Formspree, which forwards them to our email. This website is hosted by Netlify. Both process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms. The forms include a hidden field used only to discard automated submissions; it collects nothing from a person filling in the form normally.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or social-media tracking. It stores a single flag in your browser's session storage so the opening animation does not replay on every page. That flag holds no personal information and is cleared when you close the browser.
Typefaces and all other page assets are served from this site. No request is made to a third-party font, script or analytics service when you open a page. Some older photographs in the portfolio are still served from our previous website host's image service; loading them sends that host the ordinary request information a browser sends for any image.
Marketing
Information you send through this website is used to reply to you about the work you asked about. It is not added to a marketing list, and we do not send commercial electronic messages without the consent that Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) requires.
Photographs
Project photographs show work completed by us. Where a photograph shows a client's property it is published with that client's knowledge. If you are a client and would like a photograph removed, email us and it will be taken down.
Client confidentiality
We do not publish the names of our builder, developer or private clients on this website. Named references are provided directly with a tender or quotation, with the client's consent.
How long we keep it
Inquiries are retained for as long as needed to respond and to maintain a record of quotations issued. You may ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Email daniel@excellentchoicepainting.com and we will respond within thirty days.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version is posted here with a new date at the top.
